Screen printing can be divided into many types according to its layout, printing machine type, ink properties and substrate type, but it can be divided into the following types according to its printing method.
1. Flat screen flat screen printing: Flat screen flat screen printing machine is a method of printing on a flat substrate with a flat screen plate. During printing, the printing plate is fixed and the squeegee moves.
2. Flat screen curved screen printing: Flat screen curved screen printing is a method of printing a flat screen printing plate on a curved substrate (such as a ball, cylinder, cylinder, etc.). During printing, the squeegee is fixed, the printing plate moves in the horizontal direction, and the substrate rotates with the printing plate.
3. Rotary screen screen printing: Rotary screen screen printing is a printing method in which a cylindrical screen plate is installed with a fixed squeegee in the cylinder, and the cylindrical printing plate and the substrate move synchronously at the same linear speed.
4. Indirect screen printing: The first three methods all use the printing plate to print directly on the substrate, but can only print some regular geometric shapes, such as planes, cylinders, cones, etc. For special-shaped objects with complex shapes, edges and corners, and concave surfaces, indirect screen printing must be used. The process often consists of two parts: flat screen printing and transfer, that is, the screen printing image is not directly printed on the substrate, but first printed on a flat material, and then transferred to the substrate using a certain method. One of the indirect printing methods is to first print the image on a flat glass using a flat screen printing method, and then use a flexible silicone head to absorb the ink image from the glass plate like a stamp, and then transfer it to the special-shaped surface: Another type of indirect screen printing method is flower paper transfer, such as: screen printing flower paper + thermal transfer, screen printing flower paper + pressure-sensitive transfer, screen printing flower paper + solvent-activated transfer. Indirect screen printing has become a major field in the printing industry.
